What to expect before we start
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Stephan visits the property, reviews surface condition and discusses the finish you want before writing anything down. There is no obligation, and you will not receive a rushed same-day number.
How far in advance should I book?
Spring and fall are the busiest seasons for exterior work in Ontario. Booking 2–4 weeks ahead is ideal for standard projects; larger or specialty jobs benefit from earlier planning. Interior work can often be scheduled sooner.
What makes Gillet different from other painters?
Twenty-five years of practice, a specialty in faux finish and Venetian plaster, and a process that starts with the surface itself, not a one-size-fits-all promise. Every project is reviewed before it is signed off, and if something is not right, we return and make it right.
Do you paint heritage or character homes?
Yes. The Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Grimsby and older St. Catharines neighbourhoods carry properties that need a slower, more deliberate approach. Gillet assesses existing coatings, original trim and heritage guidelines before recommending a finish.
